VT Dryland

for the bast 3 weeks I have been getting into a good training routine here in VT. July is one of the biggest volume months for xc training so it has been great to have the big SMS-T2 team here to workout with. We have had day trips down to MA to train with the CSU group and also jumped in some REG training at the begining of the month. Summer is the time to get your sweat on and there has been a lot of that going on here in VT!

just a few more weeks of dryland training before heading to New Zealand on Aug. 11

First Training camp

I am almost through my first training camp of the year. We started out with two weeks of skiing in Bend Oregon. Bend is a great place for spring skiing becuase there is so much snow left over from the winter that we can usually ski up until June on decent conditions. The whole US Ski team was on hand for two weeks of training starting with skiing workouts in the morning working a lot on technique, distance,  and dry land training in the afternoon.

From Bend most of the team flew to Park City for a few days of testing. This time of year we like to get into the lab and get some tests done including a V02max test and strength testing. Its helpfull to get spring time base fitness test in so that we can see how much we can improve throughout the summer. I will be in PC for another week taking advantage of living at high altitude and training with my coaches at the COE!
