Great skiers are made in the Summer! if you're a junior skier the most training and biggest gains can be made in the off season. This is why I try to hit up as many training camps as I can during the summer and help push the next generation of skiers along. Last week I made a stop at the BNSC training camp in Mass. and it was a great day of training with some talented young skiers doing a long rollerski and a run/plyo workout. If you are a Junior skier and interested in training for skiing this summer check out some of the SMS camps coming up in August!
This past weekend the SMS elite team and myself made a trip up to Craftsbury VT in order to do some hard training with the Green team and also help out at the REG. The REG is a camp of all the top junior skiers in New England who come together and hammer on each other with workouts led by the US Ski Team. We were able to Rollerski with the camp a few times and even do some hard double pole intervals as a massive group. To get all the best Junior skiers in New Engalnd together is such an important thing for he development of skiing in the US and we were happy to help out.
