The Bank of Bennington
I'm proud to announce a new sponsorship with an amazing company The Bank of Bennington. This is exciting for me because this is the first time in my career I have had the opportunity to race on behalf of a local business from the town that I grew up in. I was born in Bennington and have lived in Shaftsbury my whole life and receive a tremendous amount of support from folks in the area. This sponsorship is an example of that support and it gives me great pride to be racing on behalf of a southern Vermont company and to be a hometown skier representing the hometown bank.
It's my goal that together with The Bank of Bennington we will be able to promote the Bennington area around the world and also have more opportunities to work together giving back to the local community.
Thanks to The Bank of Bennington!
School Visits with SMS-T2
Yesterday some members of the SMS-T2 team and myself had a visit with the FloodBrook school here in Londonderry Vermont to talk to the kids about skiing. The Fall is always a great time to visit schools and get kids excited about xc skiing. A ton of kids from this school will go on to be fast club skiers and SMS athletes.
Skiing in Canmore
We made our way to Canmore last week to get on the first snow of the year. The Frozen Thunder track is made up of saved snow from last winter but cold temps in Canada made for some freshies and great skiing. We even got to enter a full on sprint race on our last day of camp and it was a great time knocking heads with the Canadians. Feels good to get the W in the first race of the season. Europe here we come!!
Back in Park City
After having spent most of the summer training on the East coast we are in Park City Utah for a fall US Ski team camp. I've spent lots of time in Park City over the years so it's always fun to come back here for some great training and also amazing skateboarding at the local park. For the next week I will be training here with the team before heading to Canmore to get on snow for the first time this Fall!
